Performance issues in wireless body area networks for the healthcare application: a survey and future prospects

چکیده
Abstract This study presents a survey of the current issues, application areas, findings, and performance challenges in wireless body area networks (WBAN). The discusses selected areas WBAN signal processing, network reliability, spectrum management, security, integration with other technologies for highly efficient future healthcare applications. foundation bases on recent growing advances microelectronic technology commercialization, which ease device availability, miniaturization, communication. considers systemic review conducted using reports, standard documents, peer-reviewed articles. Based comprehensive review, we find WBANs faces several operational, standardization, security affecting maintenance user safety privacy. We envision increasing dependency medical non-medical applications due to internet connectivity advances. In this view, despite advantages remote health monitoring, further studies need be optimization. Therefore finalize our by proposing various research directions open issues WBAN’s enhancement.
